The Story Behind the Invention

“In an 11-year-old's eyes, protecting the ocean is as natural as the tide itself.”

Many marine clean-up devices are expensive and consume fuel, creating secondary carbon emissions. That's why our 11-year-old inventor thought: "Since tides rise and fall every single day, why not use the ocean's own energy to collect trash naturally?"

Thus, the Tide Cleaner was born! It uses zero electricity, zero motor power, and relies entirely on tidal water movements and gravity to filter out plastics.

Our Solution Flow (From a Kid's Perspective)

Here is how we build a cleaner ocean in 3 steps:

1

On Land: Community Cleanup

We share videos on social media to invite kids, schools, and families to join beach cleanups. Reducing waste on land is our first and most important shield!

“Small actions on land make a big difference!”
2

In the Ocean: Tidal Solution

We deploy the Tide Cleaner in ocean channels. Floating plastic flows in during high tide and is locked inside the basket, while water drains out during low tide.

“Tide comes in, collects trash. Tide goes out, flap closes!”

Prevention: Growing the Community

We create the "Ocean Treasure Guardians" platform to share knowledge, motivate actions, and bring ocean lovers together worldwide!

Ocean Pollution Flashcards

Click on each flashcard to flip it and reveal how long these plastics stay in the ocean!

Plastic Bag

Click to Flip

Decomposes in: ~20 Years

Plastic bags float in currents and look exactly like jellyfish. Sea turtles often eat them by mistake, causing serious blockages in their stomachs.

Plastic Bottle

Click to Flip

Decomposes in: ~450 Years

Plastic bottles are extremely tough. They drift for centuries, breaking down into toxic microplastics that enter the marine food web.

Six-Pack Ring / Cup

Click to Flip

Decomposes in: ~100 Years

Plastic cups and packaging rings easily trap fish, birds, and crabs, preventing them from growing or feeding. Choose reusable cups!

Ghost Fishing Net

Click to Flip

Decomposes in: ~600 Years

Lost fishing nets float silently like ghosts, trapping corals, whales, and dolphins. They are one of the biggest threats to marine life.
